NAMI - National Alliance on Mental Illness

The NAMI Nebraska Peer Leadership Council will be having an information Session on February 5th, 2026. Attendees can choose to attend at

11:30 AM CST or 6:30 PM CST, whichever is most convenient for them. This meeting will address who we are, what we do, and how you can help us share a strong peer voice across the state.

NAMI Nebraska is an organization of families, friends, and individuals whose lives have been affected by mental illness. Together, we advocate for better lives for those individuals who have a mental illness.

The NAMI Nebraska Peer Leadership Council  (NNPLC) is formed to advance the activities and involvement of inclusive membership at the affiliate and state level NAMI, and the state as a whole by actively participating in the promotion of acceptance, recovery, and social inclusion as well as advocacy and program development.

Mental Health Peer Councils are created and inspired to give a voice to those living with mental illness. Our voice is stronger and more resounding when we add yours to it.  Your individual story makes the work we do more effective.  We believe in the tapestry of recovery and your individual thread makes the weave stronger, the picture deeper, creating a true community of recovery.
